Quantity Surveyor - Industrial Construction
Client information
Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities
Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of large-scale industrial construction projects valued up to £100m.
Preparing cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts across multiple UK sites.
Working closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
Monitoring project costs, forecasting, and reporting on commercial performance.
Supporting procurement activities and subcontractor management throughout the project lifecycle.
Conducting regular site visits across the UK to oversee project progress and commercial compliance.
Ensuring all commercial activities are carried out in line with company procedures and contractual requirements.
Quantity Surveyor requirements
Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the industrial or commercial construction sector.
Must have experience working for a main contractor on large-scale construction projects.
Strong understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders across various UK sites.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
Office-based in Solihull with flexibility to work from home on Fridays.
