About the Role

An established children's care provider is currently looking for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join one of their residential children's homes based in Botley, Oxfordshire.

The service supports young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, with a strong focus on providing stability, structure, and positive outcomes in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day running of the residential home
Lead, motivate, and support the staff team
Build positive and trusting relationships with young people
Support young people with routines, education, activities, and independent living skills
Ensure safeguarding procedures and care plans are followed effectively
Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
Assist the Registered and Deputy Managers with operational responsibilities
Deputise for senior management when required
Complete accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with regulations
Promote positive outcomes and emotional wellbeing for young peopleWhat We Are Looking For

Essential:

Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care
Previous experience working within children's residential care
Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations
Compassionate and child-focused approachDesirable:

Previous Team Leader or Senior Support Worker experience
Experience supporting young people with SEMH needsSalary & Benefits

Base Salary:

£35,400 - £42,664 per year

Additional Payments:

Up to 3 sleep-ins per month (£80 per sleep-in)
Attendance allowance up to £1,400 annually
Regional allowance
Responsibility allowance
Welcome bonus upon successful completion of probation
