Are you an experienced Laser Cutting Operator looking to join a busy and growing manufacturing environment?
We are currently recruiting for a motivated and detail-oriented Laser Cutting Operator to join a well-established production team in Nottingham. This role is ideal for someone with previous laser cutting experience who takes pride in producing high-quality components while maintaining excellent productivity and safety standards.
The Role:
* Set up, operate, and monitor laser cutting machinery
* Produce components in line with engineering drawings and production schedules
* Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
* Carry out tooling changes and machine adjustments where required
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and production documentation
* Perform quality inspections using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, and gauges
* Monitor machine performance and report any production or quality concerns
* Complete production records and paperwork accurately
* Carry out routine machine maintenance and preventative maintenance checks
Requirements:
* Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery within manufacturing
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience using measuring equipment
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Desirable:
* Experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment
* Sheet metal manufacturing experience
* FLT licence or overhead crane experience
* Knowledge of continuous improvement practices
Package:
* £24,420 - £28,000 annual salary dependent on experience
* 40-hour working week
* Rotating shift pattern:
* 6am – 2pm
* 2pm – 10pm
* 10pm – 6am
* 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Overtime available paid at enhanced rates:
* 1.5x standard overtime
* 2.0x Saturday afternoons, Sundays, and Bank Holidays
