Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking for a long-term opportunity within a well-established precision engineering environment? Would you like a role that offers 3 day weekends?!
We are currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Miller to join a busy manufacturing team in Nottingham. This role would suit someone with experience setting and operating milling machines who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components to tight tolerances.
The Role
* Set, operate and programme milling machines in line with production schedules
* Manufacture precision engineered components to customer drawings and specifications
* Select suitable tooling, fixtures, and machine settings for each job
* Carry out tool changes and machine adjustments where required
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
* Inspect finished components using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and shadowgraphs where applicable
* Complete quality documentation and production records accurately
* Monitor machine performance and report any faults or tooling issues
* Maintain high housekeeping and health & safety standards
* Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities
* Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams
What We Are Looking For
* Previous experience setting and operating milling machines within an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience using precision measuring equipment
* Strong understanding of tolerances and quality standards
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good communication and team working skills
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Strong understanding of health & safety within manufacturing
Package
* £19.00 per hour
* 39-hour working week
* Monday – Thursday working pattern
* 9.75 hour shifts
* 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Overtime available paid at enhanced rates:
* 1.3x weekdays
* 1.5x weekends
* Long-term stable opportunity within a growing engineering environment
