Location: East Anglia (with UK-wide project travel)
Salary: Up to £75,000 + package

Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and ambitious civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure schemes across East Anglia and the wider UK.

Projects span utilities, heavy civils, and regional frameworks, including port developments, battery storage schemes, and major infrastructure upgrades. Current and recent schemes include works in Norwich, King's Lynn, Necton extension, and Ørsted battery storage projects.

The Role
As a Planner, you will play a key role in developing, managing, and monitoring construction programmes across a diverse project portfolio.

You'll work closely with site, commercial, and pre-construction teams to ensure programmes are realistic, compliant, and aligned with project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage construction programmes that reflect real site delivery
Produce and maintain NEC3 / NEC4 compliant programmes
Monitor site progress, identify delays, and support mitigation strategies
Review compensation events and support programme-related claims
Provide programme input into cost and resource planning
Communicate progress updates clearly to internal teams and clients
Support tender planning and pre-construction activities
Work across multiple projects in East Anglia and occasionally nationwide
Support and mentor junior planners where requiredProject Exposure

Utilities and heavy civils frameworks
Port and marine infrastructure (e.g. ABP projects)
Regional infrastructure schemes across East Anglia
Battery storage and renewable energy projects (including Ørsted)
Major schemes in Norwich, King's Lynn (Walpole), and NectonRequirements

Experience as a Planner or from an engineering/site/project management background
Understanding of NEC contracts
Experience with ASTA Powerproject (preferred)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
