Cover Supervisors

TradeWind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our growing pool of supply staff supporting a variety of secondary schools across Doncaster.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in education, experienced cover supervisors, graduates, or those with transferable experience working with young people.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set work in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, on task, and working within the school's behaviour policies.

Responsibilities

Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
Managing classroom behaviour effectively
Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
Supporting students with questions relating to the work set
Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour
Following all school safeguarding and health & safety procedures

Requirements

Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or youth work setting is desirable
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Confidence leading groups of students
Flexible, adaptable, and professional approach
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
