A highly regarded Central London Local Authority is seeking an Insurance Claims Officer to join their specialist Insurance & Risk team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience across insurance claims, legal support, housing claims, investigations or dispute resolution who are looking to build a long-term career within a supportive public sector environment.
The organisation is committed to training and development, with clear progression opportunities into Senior Insurance Officer level.
Key Responsibilities
Investigating liability and insurance claims
Managing housing, highways and personal injury claims
Assessing acceptance or denial of legal liability
Gathering evidence and witness statements
Liaising with solicitors, claimants and third parties
Handling MOJ portal claims
Supporting litigation and court preparation
Maintaining accurate claims databases and records
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience within insurance claims, legal support, investigations, housing claims or dispute resolution
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisation
Ability to work accurately under pressure
Strong stakeholder management skills
Genuine interest in claims handling and law
Desirable Experience
Liability claims handling
Local authority or public sector exposure
MOJ portal knowledge
Insurance or legal background
