The Role
As Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in leading mechanical engineering projects while supporting the growth and development of the wider engineering team. Responsibilities will include:
Leading the delivery of mechanical engineering designs across multiple projects
Managing client relationships and acting as a key technical contact
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers within the team
Supporting project planning, resourcing, and commercial performance
Reviewing technical documentation, specifications, and calculations
Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
Supporting business development activities and contributing to strategic growth
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a Senior or Associate Mechanical Engineer role
Strong background within infrastructure, water, utilities, construction, or related sectors
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering standards and design processes
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership would be advantageous
Ability to manage multiple projects and support team development
