Contracts Manager - Passive Fire Protection

CV-Library

Posted on May 26, 2026 by CV-Library
Manchester, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom
Construction
Immediate Start
£50k - £60k Annual
Full-Time
An established and growing Manchester-based contractor is looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to support and help drive the continued expansion of their nationwide fire division.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a business that is already delivering consistent revenue in fire safety works, but is now actively investing in scaling this part of the operation — offering real scope to influence growth, processes, and long-term direction.

You’ll be responsible for managing passive fire protection projects across a range of sectors, working closely with senior leadership to strengthen delivery and support business growth across the UK.

Projects include fire door installation and remediation, fire stopping, and wider compliance-led works across commercial and public sector environments.

Key responsibilities include

* Managing multiple passive fire protection projects across the UK

* Overseeing site teams including fire door installers and fire stoppers

* Ensuring works are delivered in line with compliance standards (e.g. BM TRADA)

* Client liaison across key frameworks and national contracts

* Managing programme, quality, and commercial performance of projects

* Supporting operational growth within the fire division and generating new business development opportunities

What we’re looking for

* Experience in passive fire protection (fire doors and/or fire stopping)

* Background in a Project Manager or Contracts Manager role

* Strong understanding of compliance and third-party accreditation standards

* Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders

* Ideally, existing industry network (clients, subcontractors, or operatives)

The opportunity

* Join a business with strong existing client relationships across major frameworks

* Be part of a growing fire division with clear investment and ambition

* Work across a diverse portfolio including education, commercial, healthcare, and specialist environments

* Opportunity to shape processes and contribute to long-term growth

This isn’t just another delivery role — it’s an opportunity to step into a business where the fire division is already performing, but still has significant headroom for growth.

You’ll be working closely with leadership, giving you visibility, influence, and the chance to play a key part in how this function evolves.
