We’re working with a food manufacturing business in Inverclyde that is looking to add a proactive, solutions-driven Electrical Engineer to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company where your expertise will directly influence performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the site runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you’ll take ownership of electrical maintenance and fault finding across the site.

Key responsibilities:

* Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on site equipment

* Diagnose and resolve faults quickly to minimise downtime

* Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery

* Ensure compliance with health & safety and food hygiene standards

* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

* Work closely with mechanical engineers and production teams

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency

About You

We’re looking for a hands-on, driven engineer who thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

You will have:

* Experience in electrical maintenance within food production, FMCG, or manufacturing

* Strong fault-finding capability across electrical systems and controls

* Knowledge of PLCs, control panels, and automation systems

* The ability to respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns

* Experience with Contractors

Qualifications:

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) – essential
