📍 Leeds (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 home)
💰 Up to £32,000
Contract: Permanent

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a busy and evolving HR function within a large UK organisation.

Working across multiple payrolls and pay frequencies, you’ll play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting payroll process improvements and maintaining compliance standards.

Key Duties

* Manage payroll processing activities across weekly and monthly payrolls

* Support payroll operations for a workforce of approximately 2,000 employees

* Ensure payroll activities are completed accurately and within strict deadlines

* Maintain compliance with HMRC regulations and payroll legislation

* Handle payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders

* Support payroll administration and data management within Workday

* Work closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations

* Assist with identifying and implementing process improvements

* Maintain confidentiality and high standards of payroll accuracy

What They’re Looking For

* Previous experience within a payroll position processing end-to-end payroll

* Experience managing payrolls with multiple pay frequencies and high volumes

* Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively

* High attention to detail and accuracy

* Workday exposure beneficial but not essential

* Positive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach
