Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Site Manager to support the effective running of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily site operations, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with management experience and a strong understanding of project planning tools to develop their careers within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Site Manager in coordinating daily site activities to ensure smooth operations.
Supervise on-site personnel, including subcontractors and labour teams, to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely.
Monitor project progress against schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and resolve issues promptly.
Maintain accurate documentation related to project progress, resource allocation, and safety records.
Support in managing procurement processes and material deliveries to minimise delays.
Contribute to the development of programme schedules and assist in managing changes or delays.Experience

Proven management or supervisory experience within the construction or civil engineering sectors.
Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 for project scheduling and planning.
Demonstrable ability to supervise teams effectively whilst maintaining a focus on safety standards.
Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to liaise confidently with diverse stakeholders.
