We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced automated distribution and logistics operation.
Working within a highly automated environment, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of conveyors including hanging garment conveyors, sortation systems, automated handling equipment, palletisers, bagger, labelling machines etc
This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with am electrical bias with strong fault-finding abilities who enjoys working in a modern, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across automated distribution equipment
Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise operational downtime
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on conveyors, motors, sensors, drives, pneumatics, and automated systems
Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Work with PLC-controlled systems and assist with basic fault diagnosis
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Collaborate with operations teams to maximise site performance and efficiency Experience and Qualifications required for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)
Previous experience within an automated warehouse, distribution, FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics environment
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience working with conveyors, sortation systems, or automated handling equipment
Ability to work independently and within a team
