Location: Grangemouth

Our client, a leading organisation in manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Grangemouth. If you have a strong technical foundation in chemical engineering and a passion for operational excellence, we want to hear from you!

About the Role
As a Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and efficiency within our manufacturing facility. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement process improvement programs that enhance the production of active ingredients and formulation fill and pack projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Design & Optimization:

Design and implement process improvement programs to enhance capital projects.
Maximize efficiency in capital and operating costs while upholding HSE excellence.
Support plant operations and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Technical Leadership:

Provide expert process engineering support to project and production managers.
Act as the process owner for designated manufacturing areas, ensuring optimal performance.

Continuous Improvement:

Challenge existing protocols and identify areas for improvement.
Engage in cross-functional manufacturing support teams to foster collaboration.
Deliver scientific work programs safely and efficiently across various sites.

Collaboration:

Work closely with operations, maintenance, HSE, and quality teams to achieve common goals.
Collaborate with global functions within the organization to share best practices.

Essential Requirements:

Education:

Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
Working towards or currently hold Chartered Engineering status (CEng).

Experience:

2+ years of practical process engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Experience in capital project/change execution.

Technical Skills:

Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of chemical engineering principles.
Proficiency with process simulation and design tools.
Familiarity with HSE risk assessment methodologies (HAZOP, LOPA, etc.).

Desirable Skills:

Experience in agrochemical or specialty chemical manufacturing.
Knowledge of batch processing operations.
Project management experience.
Understanding of regulatory requirements (DSEAR, COMAH, PER, etc.).
