The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Contract Supervisor to join a growing building services maintenance business overseeing a prestigious critical environment contract in London.
This role is ideal for a strong Lead Engineer, Supervisor, or aspiring Manager with a background in critical services or datacentre environments who is looking to take the next step within a highly organised and professional maintenance operation.
The site is operated similarly to a datacentre environment, maintaining landlord critical infrastructure only, while clients manage their own occupied floor spaces.

The Role
You will oversee a team consisting of:
* 8 Engineers
* 1 Contract Support
The role will be approximately:
* 80% administrative / supervisory
* 20% hands-on engineering support
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of engineering operations, subcontractors, shutdowns, compliance, and critical maintenance activities across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervising engineering operations across a critical environment contract
* Managing PPMs, reactive maintenance, and specialist subcontractors
* Organising shutdowns, surveys, and planned maintenance activities
* Reviewing RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are followed
* Supporting compliance and maintaining engineering documentation
* Acting as the main point of contact for engineers and site operations
* Providing hands-on engineering support when required
* Building strong relationships with clients, engineers, and subcontractors
* Maintaining landlord critical assets including:
* Chillers
* Generators
* Boilers
* Lighting systems
Requirements
* Previous experience within a critical environment or datacentre-style maintenance contract
* HVAP qualification essential
* Experience supervising engineering teams within commercial maintenance
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Experience managing shutdowns, subcontractors, and compliance activities
* Mechanically or electrically qualified background preferred
* Professional and client-facing approach
Working Pattern
* Monday – Friday | 8am – 5pm
* Occasional Saturday working required (paid as overtime)
* Occasional Tuesday – Saturday working pattern to oversee weekend activities when required
