Job Title: Experienced SEN Teacher - Year 7

Location: Exeter, Devon

Contract Type: Temprary long-term cover

Hours: Full-time (8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday)

Salary: Main Pay Scale (M1 to M6)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced SEN Teacher to join the dedicated team at a specialist SEN school in Exeter. The successful candidate will play a vital role in educating and supporting Year 7 pupils with MLD, ASD, and communication and interaction needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the primary curriculum, ensuring each student's individual needs are met.
Work collaboratively with a Year 9 class, providing tailored support for pupils with MLD, ASD, and communication and interaction needs.
Support pupils in preparing for adulthood, fostering independence and life skills.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social and emotional development of each student.
Collaborate with other professionals, parents, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to education.Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience working with secondary age pupils with MLD, ASD, and communication and interaction needs.
Knowledge of the primary curriculum.
Passion for providing the best education in a supportive environment for pupils with special educational needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Benefits:
