We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative on behalf of a long-established manufacturing business with a strong reputation for engineering excellence.
Pay & Hours
Pay rate: £14.30 per hour
Hours: 39 hours per week (flexible working)
Start times: Flexible between 6:00am, with finish times typically no later than 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble products in line with company work instructions and engineering drawings
* Carry out soldering and crimping of cable and PCB assemblies
* Ensure all work meets required quality and production standards
* Maintain accurate records using company works order systems
* Inspect, maintain, and report issues with tools and equipment
* Identify and resolve assembly or process issues where possible
* Support the introduction of new products into production
* Work in line with Health & Safety procedures, including correct use of PPE
* Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities
* Cross-train across different assembly areas as required
* Support team output to meet production targets and deadlines
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in an assembly, production, or manufacturing environment
* Experience with soldering or electrical/mechanical assembly (desirable)
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
* Positive, team-focused attitude
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills
