Overview:
My client is a leading, civil engineering contractor, due to planned and continuous growth they are looking to take on a Contract Administrator on a permanent basis. Your role will be to support the administration of contracts on a major infrastructure project located in Hampshire. The role will involve a wide range of contract-related activities, including programme management, change control, risk management, dispute avoidance, and procurement.
You will be responsible for assisting with:
Legal agreements relating to licences, consents, sureties, and bonds
Insurance and warranty documentation
Reviewing proposed agreements and documents to ensure they accurately reflect agreed terms
Managing the change process (Compensation Events) and ensuring key deadlines are achieved
Preparing draft correspondence
Handling contractual matters with supply chain partners when required
Liaising with clients' and statutory providers' legal representatives, and consulting internal legal counsel where necessary
Reviewing contract documentation and preparing advisory notes outlining contractual requirements, together with suggested responses and compliance actionsResponsible for:
Organising and attending meetings and negotiations, taking notes, and issuing minutes and action points
Administering the contract communications system
Producing reports and supporting documentation as requestedRequired qualifications, skills and experience:
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Data entry and data management skills
Quantity Surveying experience desirable
Full driving licence
GCSEs in Maths and English
Degree or equivalent higher-level qualification
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
