Project Manager

We are working with a leading engineering organisation specialising in Combined Heat and Power (CHP) solutions, delivering decentralised energy projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee CHP installations from concept through to commissioning.

You will take full ownership of CHP projects, managing the complete lifecycle from initial planning through to final handover. This role requires strong technical understanding, commercial awareness, and leadership capability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing

As Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing projects from initial planning through to commissioning and completion
Coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities
Reviewing engineering designs and ensuring technical feasibility
Building strong client relationships and acting as the main point of contact
Managing schedules using Microsoft Projects or equivalent planning tools
Monitoring budgets, cost control, and commercial performance
Identifying risks early and implementing proactive solutions
Reporting project progress and KPIs to senior leadership
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who combines technical understanding with strong leadership and commercial awareness.

Essential:

HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
Minimum 5+ years’ Project Management experience, ideally within CHP or power generation
Strong Electrical background with an understanding of CHP systems and associated electrical, mechanical, and civil works Is highly desirable
Experience managing engineering or construction projects
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Good working knowledge of MS 365 and Microsoft Projects
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
