About the Role

Northamptonshire’s Children’s Trust is seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join the Long Term Children in Care team. Based at the modern One Angel Square in Northampton, this role focuses on providing stability, advocacy, and consistent support to looked-after children. You will play a pivotal role in shaping their futures, ensuring their voices are heard, and helping them thrive in stable environments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a complex caseload of long-term looked-after children, ensuring statutory visits and reviews are completed to the highest standard.

*

Develop, implement, and review pathway plans and care plans tailored to each child’s unique needs.

*

Collaborate effectively with foster carers, residential staff, schools, and health professionals to build a strong support network around the child.

*

Participate in office-based duty days, contributing to a responsive and cohesive team environment.

Requirements

*

Social Work England registration.

*

Significant post-qualifying experience within a Children in Care or Looked After Children (LAC) team.

*

Strong assessment, care planning, and communication skills.

*

Ability to work full-time and attend office-based duty days in Northampton.
