Working Hours: 07:30 - 15:30

We are currently recruiting for 6 Highways Operatives Grade 6 to join a busy operational team in Durham on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in highways, grounds maintenance, construction, or general industrial work who enjoy working outdoors and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out highways maintenance and environmental works across the Borough.
Support safe and effective delivery of operational services.
Undertake manual duties associated with highways and general industrial work.
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to deliver frontline services efficiently.
Identify and report hazards or issues requiring attention.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public. Essential Skills & Experience:
Previous experience within highways, construction, grounds maintenance, or similar operational environments is desirable.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
Reliable, hardworking, and proactive approach to work.
