Your new role
As a Supply SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and support to pupils with additional needs on a short-term, long-term, or day-to-day basis. You will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and wider staff to support pupil progress.
Manage behaviour effectively using positive and trauma-informed approaches.
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to feedback where required.This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of settings, making it ideal for teachers seeking variety or work-life balance.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Have experience working with children or young people with SEN.
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
Be adaptable, resilient, and confident working in different school environments.
Have a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Be passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting every learner.Experience in specialist settings or additional training in SEN (such as autism strategies or trauma-informed practice) is highly desirable but not essential.
