Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and industry-experienced Games Design Lecturer to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Levels 1–3. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of vocational qualifications, including BTEC and OCR awarding bodies, and will be passionate about preparing learners for progression into higher education and the games industry.

The role requires both practical and theoretical delivery across games design, 3D art, animation, and digital production disciplines, alongside supporting students in developing professional workflows and portfolio-ready projects.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Levels 1–3 Games Design programmes.
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum specifications and awarding body requirements.
Support learners to achieve academic success, progression, and industry-ready skills.
Develop engaging schemes of work, lesson materials, and assessment strategies.
Maintain accurate learner records, assessment tracking, and progress monitoring.
Provide tutorial and pastoral support to students as required.
Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in team meetings, standardisation, moderation, and internal verification activities.
Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and integrate current trends and technologies into teaching.Essential Skills & Experience The successful candidate must have experience and/or knowledge in the following areas:

Knowledge of and experience with 3D modelling and animation software such as:
Autodesk Maya
Blender
Knowledge of and experience with game engines such as:
Unreal Engine
Construct 3
Knowledge of and experience with creative software such as:
Adobe Creative Suite
DaVinci Resolve
Knowledge of games design and 3D art pipelines.
Understanding of project management workflows within creative or games production environments.
Experience delivering or supporting vocational education.
Understanding of BTEC and OCR awarding body requirements.
Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
Relevant degree or industry qualification in Games Design, Animation, Digital Media, or a related subject.
Industry experience within games, animation, or digital media production.
Experience using additional industry-standard software and tools
