Location: Stevenage
Shifts Available: Day Shifts & Waking Night Shifts
Pay Rate: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour
Additional: Sleep-in allowance paid separately
About the Role
We are currently recruiting compassionate and resilient Residential Support Workers to join a specialist EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children's residential service in Stevenage.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment. Both day and waking night positions are available on a flexible rota basis.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
Promoting positive routines, boundaries, and independence
Building trusted and professional relationships with young people
Supporting with daily living activities, education, and appointments
Managing challenging behaviours using de-escalation techniques
Maintaining accurate records, incident reports, and care notes
Ensuring the home remains safe, supportive, and compliant with safeguarding standards
Working collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, and external professionals Requirements

Previous experience working within residential childcare, supported living, or similar care settings
Experience supporting young people with EBD/challenging behaviour is desirable
A caring, resilient, and professional approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins
Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred (or willingness to obtain one) What's on Offer

Competitive hourly rate of £14.00 - £17.00 per hour
