Our client a well-established and expanding refurbishment and fit-out contractor is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a growing pipeline of projects across Glasgow and the Central Belt.

The company delivers high-quality refurbishment and interior fit-out schemes across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, retail and public sector environments, with project values reaching up to £5 million.

The Role of the Quantity Surveyor:

Working closely with the commercial and operational teams, you will be responsible for the financial management and commercial performance of refurbishment and fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing project costs and commercial performance

Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts

Subcontractor procurement and account management

Cost reporting and forecasting

Contract administration and risk management

Supporting project delivery teams throughout the construction lifecycle

Building and maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships

Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and maximise profitability

Projects are located throughout Glasgow and the wider Central Belt.

Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor:

The company is open to candidates from varying levels of experience, from ambitious Quantity Surveyors looking to progress through to experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors capable of managing larger projects independently.

Suitable candidates are likely to have:

Experience within refurbishment, fit-out or construction projects

Background working for a main contractor or specialist fit-out contractor

Strong commercial and contractual awareness

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management preferred

Salary ranging from £50,000 – £75,000 depending on experience
