General Foreman - Tunnelling & Civils

Location: Pakington
Rate: Dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to join a leading tunnelling contractor on a major project based in Pakington.

This role will play a key part in delivering complex works including shaft sinking, tunnelling operations and civils, ensuring safe and efficient site delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations across tunnelling and civil works
Supervise site teams and subcontractors
Manage works involving shaft sinking, tunnelling, and associated infrastructure
Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements
Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and daily coordination
Liaise with engineers, site management, and key stakeholders
Order materials and manage site logistics to maintain programme delivery

Requirements:

Proven experience as a General Foreman within tunnelling projects
SMSTS
Strong background in shaft sinking, civil, or water works
Computer literate, with the ability to complete paperwork and use site systems
Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
Solid understanding of H&S procedures and site compliance
