We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join a high-profile transformation programme in Hertfordshire. This is a temporary opportunity for 10 months (until March 2027), offering the chance to lead and deliver complex projects within a large, multi-stakeholder environment.

This role sits within a major strategic programme and will play a key part in driving delivery, managing risks, and ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and partner organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex projects and workstreams, ensuring alignment with overall programme objectives and timelines.
Develop and maintain detailed project and programme plans, identifying dependencies, milestones, and resource requirements.
Manage programme risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating where appropriate.
Provide regular reporting on progress, including variance analysis, to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical, operational, and external partners.
Chair project and programme meetings, facilitating discussions and ensuring actions are progressed.
Contribute to service redesign, transformation initiatives, and business case development.
Oversee aspects of programme budget management and ensure value for money.Skills & Experience Required:

Proven experience managing complex projects within the NHS or a similar public sector environment.
Demonstrable experience working across multiple stakeholders and delivering cross-functional programmes.
Strong understanding of programme governance, risk management, and reporting processes.
Experience of service redesign, transformation, or large-scale change initiatives.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities.
