Finishing Manager – Industrial Fit Out (National Grid Project)

40 hours per week (Mon–Fri)

We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager for a major National Grid energy infrastructure project in Carlisle, working for a leading Tier 1 contractor.

This is a large-scale industrial/substation fit out project, requiring a strong site-based Finishing Manager to take ownership of finishing packages, subcontractors, and site quality delivery in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage all finishing trades on a large industrial project

* Coordinate subcontractors and daily site activity

* Drive programme delivery and sequencing of works

* Ensure QA, snagging, inspections, and handover standards are achieved

* Work closely with MEP and site teams to coordinate interfaces

* Chair site progress meetings and report updates to PM

* Maintain H&S compliance and site standards

* Resolve site issues quickly to maintain productivity

Scope of Works

* Raised access flooring

* Door sets / joinery (1st & 2nd fix)

* Painting and decorating

* Epoxy and vinyl flooring

* Fire stopping

* Builders work openings

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Finishing Manager / Site Manager (finishing phase)

* Strong industrial or commercial fit out background

* Subcontractor management experience essential

* Ability to manage programme, QA, and multiple trades

* Confident working with MEP / mechanical & electrical interfaces

* CSCS + SMSTS essential

* Substation / energy infrastructure experience beneficial but not essential

* Trade background advantageous
