Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Support students in developing scientific knowledge, practical skills, and analytical thinking
Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform future planning
Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations, ensuring strong levels of attainment
Maintain a safe, organised, and purposeful learning environment
Participate in departmental initiatives and whole-school activities
Candidate Requirements
We are seeking a candidate who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Has recent experience teaching Science in a secondary setting
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Is confident managing behaviour and maintaining high expectations
Shows a commitment to supporting student progress and engagement
Works well within a collaborative and professional team
Essential Criteria
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two satisfactory references relating to work with children or young people
