Our client, a well-established and successful manufacturing business based in Washington, is looking for a proactive and detail-focused Accounts Administrator to become a valued part of their close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming, family-run company where no two days are the same. You'll play an important role supporting accounts, administration, and payroll functions, with full training provided and the chance to develop your skills long term.

💼 What's on Offer?

💰 FTE Salary: Up to £31,200 depending on experience + company performance bonus
📄 Permanent, Office-Based Role
🕘 Part-Time Hours: 3 days per week, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday but this can be discussed for the right person, 9:00am - 5:00pm, 22.5 - 24 hours per week
Option to work through lunch to support phone cover (8-hour day), or take a 30-minute unpaid lunch (7.5-hour day)📌 Some flexibility is required to occasionally provide full-time holiday cover with advance notice.

This is a varied and hands-on position where you'll support the smooth running of accounts and office administration processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Support

Managing purchase and sales ledgers
Processing invoices, supplier payments, and expenses
Supporting credit control and bank reconciliations
Assisting with month-end procedures and VAT returns
Monitoring and managing the accounts inboxGeneral Administration

Updating supplier records and maintaining accurate documentation
Filing, scanning, and providing general office support
Handling incoming calls and visitor enquiries
Maintaining workwear and equipment inventory
Supporting compliance with ISO 9001 auditing processesHR & Payroll Support (Following Probation)

Maintaining employee records and personnel files
Assisting with recruitment administration and onboarding
Supporting payroll administration including holiday approvals and sickness records✅ What We're Looking For

Previous administration experience, ideally within accounts or finance
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Professional and confidential approach
Confident communication skills with the ability to work across departments
Good Microsoft Office skills
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks would be advantageous (training provided - the business uses Xero)📌 Additional Information

Full UK driving licence or reliable transport required due to limited public transport links
Two references required
