About the School

We are working in partnership with a well-established and inclusive primary school in the Bolton area that is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher on a long-term temporary basis from September 2026.

The school is recognised for its supportive leadership, welcoming environment, and dedication to providing high-quality education. Staff collaborate effectively to create a structured and engaging setting where younger pupils are encouraged to build strong foundations in their learning, develop confidence, and foster a positive attitude towards education.

The Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils at an important stage in their educational development, delivering engaging lessons and ensuring all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately.

This long-term temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team, with the potential for extension based on performance and school needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative and structured lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment with clear expectations
Implement effective behaviour management strategies
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience within Key Stage 1
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic in their approach
Possess effective classroom and behaviour management skills
Be adaptable and committed to supporting all learners

Eligibility Requirements:

Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
