Key Responsibilities
Provide strong clinical leadership within the home, ensuring the highest standards of nursing and person-centred care are delivered at all times.
Support and mentor nursing and care teams, promoting best practice, clinical excellence, and continuous professional development.
Oversee and monitor care plans, risk assessments, medication management, and clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Lead on clinical governance, audits, safeguarding, infection control, and quality assurance processes throughout the service.
Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, NMC guidelines, company policies, and all relevant legislative requirements.
Work closely with the Home Manager to improve clinical performance, occupancy, resident outcomes, and overall quality ratings.
Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, GPs, district nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective multidisciplinary care.
Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes in clinical needs, ensuring timely interventions and referrals.
Support the recruitment, induction, supervision, and retention of nursing and care staff within the home.
Lead by example on the floor, promoting a hands-on approach and fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
Assist with staff training and competency assessments to ensure safe and effective clinical practice throughout the team.
Participate in audits, inspections, and investigations, implementing improvement plans where required to enhance service quality and resident care.·
