Booth Welsh are now seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead our control panel manufacturing operations and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
As the Factory Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of control panel build projects—from planning and assembly through to testing and delivery. Your duties will include:
Managing control panel build projects from initial assembly through to testing and completion.
Coordinating with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Monitoring project progress and timelines to meet agreed delivery targets.
Preparing detailed cost estimates for control panel builds, including materials, labour, and subcontractor costs.
Collaborating with procurement and engineering teams to maintain accurate pricing and cost control.
Tracking actual hours and costs against estimates, reporting variances, and implementing corrective actions when needed.
Supporting the design team in reviewing electrical and instrument schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
Ensuring all work complies with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, UL, ATEX, NEC).
Carrying out and overseeing panel testing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and associated documentation.
Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of panel builders, electricians, and apprentices.
Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures throughout the build process.
Ensuring all panels meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and Booth Welsh’s quality standards.
Maintaining accurate build records, inspection logs, and certification documentation.
Liaising with clients and engineers to clarify requirements and provide regular progress updates.
