HGV / Military Vehicle Assembler
Stockport | £19.97 per hour | Permanent
A globally recognised defence manufacturer with over a century of technical heritage is looking for Military Vehicle Assemblers to join its team at a modern Engineering Centre of Excellence in the Northwest. You'll be contributing directly to the assembly of specialist military and heavy vehicles used by defence customers worldwide.
What you'll be doing:
Assembling specialist military and heavy vehicles following structured build processes and engineering documentation
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
Working to high quality and safety standards in a disciplined, safety-critical environment
Contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining a professional, methodical approach
What you need:
HGV Mechanic/Fitter qualification or similar background
Experience assembling complex vehicles (HGV, plant, rail, aerospace, or automotive all considered)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Recognised apprenticeship in Vehicle Maintenance or relevant engineering discipline desirable
Military vehicle or defence equipment experience beneficial but not essential
GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
Flexible approach to overtime and shift patterns when required
