Tenancy Support Worker - Edinburgh

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tenancy Support Worker to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring a commitment to supporting individuals in maintaining stable accommodation within the community.

Job Description:

As a Tenancy Support Worker, you will provide crucial assistance to individuals in Edinburgh, Midlothian, and Penicuik. Your role will involve empowering clients to sustain their tenancies through comprehensive support services. This position requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to work effectively within a community setting.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to individuals to help them maintain stable accommodation.
Assist clients with housing applications, including Housing Benefit and other relevant grants.
Support clients in setting up essential utilities such as gas and electricity.
Deliver tenancy sustainment support to prevent homelessness and promote independent living.
Conduct assessments and develop support plans tailored to individual client needs.
Work collaboratively with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure holistic client support.Qualifications

A minimum of 6 months of previous experience supporting older adults within a care setting.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
Access to a personal vehicle is required for community-based work.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong understanding of tenancy sustainment principles and housing support.What We Offer

Contract: Full-time (36 hours per week)
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday
Current Rate: £12.63 per hour, increasing to £12.88 per hour post-probation.
Annual Salary: £23,643.36 - £24,111.36. Please note: Current pay is below the Real Living Wage; a pay award is pending and will be backdated if approved.
Pension Scheme: Up to 6% employer contribution.
Additional Benefits: Earned Wage Access, Employee Assistance Programme (HSF), HSF Health Plan contribution, 33 days annual leave (including public holidays), absence support policies, and Death in Service cover (2x salary).Location
