Trainee Technical Account Manager
Location: South Wales

We are seeking a highly motivated and career-minded individual to join our Food Safety & Quality department as a Trainee Technical Account Manager. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career while liaising with key UK retailers and playing a pivotal role within a growing team.

Day-to-day of the role:

Work collaboratively between customers and internal teams to ensure the delivery of Food Safety & Quality requirements across technical and operational functions.
Build strong working relationships with customers and site teams, positioning the business as a supplier of choice.
Uphold company standards through positive, proactive, and professional conduct.
Represent the Food Safety & Quality function in customer head office meetings, including development gate meetings, technical reviews, and product reviews.
Coordinate and host customer visits and audits, ensuring effective follow-up on any actions.
Liaise with the New Product Development team regarding food safety aspects of product launches.
Monitor KPIs and work with site teams to drive continuous improvement.
Review packaging artwork to ensure legal compliance and accuracy.
Maintain raw material and finished product specifications, along with quality attribute documentation.
Conduct product assessments to ensure alignment with agreed production standards.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year's experience within the food industry.
Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Science, or a related field.
Understanding of retailer and customer technical requirements.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Knowledge of food safety, labelling legislation, and audit standards.
Confident managing stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Proactive approach to learning and professional development.
Full UK Driving Licence.Benefits:
