This Procurement role involves managing supplier relationships, analysing procurement data, supporting sourcing activities across multiple sites, and driving cost-saving initiatives while ensuring quality, compliance, and operational efficiency throughout the purchasing process.
This role would suit a commercially minded procurement or supply chain professional with strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships. Ideal for an organised, detail-focused individual who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively, and balancing cost control with operational needs. Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and procurement activities across assigned commodity groups.
Source indirect materials, MRO supplies, capital equipment, and operational services.
Analyse procurement data, market trends, and supplier performance to support cost-saving initiatives.
Prepare and manage proposals, purchase orders, contracts, and procurement records.
Support multiple sites within a centralised procurement function while ensuring compliance with company procedures.Requirements.
Proven experience within a Procurement / Purchasing / Supply Chain role.
Experience with Indirect purchasing highly desirable.
Experience using SAP systems highly desirable.
Excellent, IT, systems and communication skills.Location: Bury
