Production Operator – Pontypool
£13.45 per hour | 6-Month Project | £1(Apply online only) Bonus Available | Immediate Start Available

Nu Staff are recruiting for Production Operators to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Pontypool. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy production environment on a 6-month project running through until December, with structured training, shift allowances, and a potential £1(Apply online only) bonus payment upon successful completion of the project (subject to criteria being met).

As a Production Operator, you’ll support the production process by assembling, preparing, fitting, and moving products in line with production schedules and quality standards .

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday: 7:00AM – 4:00PM
Friday: 7:00AM – 1:00PM

Possible Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday rotating shifts:

6:00AM – 2:00PM
2:00PM – 10:00PM
Pay RatesTraining Period (First 12 Weeks)

£12.71 per hour during initial shift training
Increasing to £13.45 per hour on day shift
Shift Rate

£14.47 per hour during initial shift training
Increasing to £15.47 per hour on shifts
Bonus Opportunity

£1(Apply online only) bonus payment upon successful completion of the 6-month project
(subject to attendance, performance, and client criteria being met)
Key Responsibilities

Producing and assembling products to required quality standards
Operating machinery and production tools safely
Using hand and air-fed tools including torque wrenches and sanders
Completing production and process documentation accurately
Carrying out quality inspections and reporting concerns
Supporting stock movement and production line replenishment
Maintaining clean and safe working areas
Working collaboratively to meet production targets
Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times
Requirements

Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to follow SOPs and technical instructions
Good attention to detail and quality standards
Positive can-do attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable with strong timekeeping and attendance
Team player with good communication skills
