About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Extra Care Scheme Housing Officer to support residents within an Extra Care housing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring residents can maintain their independence while living in a safe, well-managed, and supportive community.

This is a varied role involving tenancy management, resident support, safeguarding, and partnership working with care providers and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage tenancy sign-ups, tenancy sustainment, and resident onboarding.

* Conduct regular welfare and scheme visits to residents.

* Support residents with Housing Benefit and other tenancy-related matters.

* Monitor rent accounts and proactively manage arrears cases.

* Liaise with appointees, deputies, family members, and support agencies where appropriate.

* Respond to and escalate repair and maintenance issues.

* Manage Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases in line with policies and procedures.

* Maintain a strong focus on safeguarding and resident wellbeing.

* Work closely with care providers, contractors, and partner agencies to deliver a high-quality service.

* Support void management processes, ensuring empty properties are ready to let quickly and efficiently.

* Ensure health & safety and compliance standards are maintained across the scheme.

About You

* Previous experience within housing management, supported housing, or extra care housing.

* Knowledge of Housing Benefit, tenancy management, and safeguarding procedures.

* Experience managing rent arrears, ASB, and resident support cases.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.

* Flexible, proactive, and resident-focused approach.

* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (if required)
