About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking school in Uxbridge. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering subjects such as History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a combination within the humanities curriculum. You will be passionate about inspiring students, encouraging critical thinking, and helping learners understand the world around them.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
Encourage curiosity, debate, and analytical thinking in humanities subjects
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school behaviour policies
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and leadership teams
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Degree in a relevant Humanities subject
Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level (preferred but not essential for ECTs)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for education
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable Skills

Ability to teach across multiple humanities disciplines
Experience using innovative teaching methods and technology
Track record of improving student attainment and engagement
