Delivery Manager (Agile) - NHS Experience Required
Location: Leeds (1 day per month on-site)
Rate: £500 per day Inside Ir35
Contract Length: Until November
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to support a high-impact programme within the NHS. This role will focus on driving Agile delivery across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring successful outcomes in a complex, regulated healthcare environment.
You will play a key role in aligning stakeholders, removing delivery blockers, and embedding best practice Agile ways of working across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery across one or more Agile teams within an NHS programme
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and showcases
Act as the primary point of coordination between technical teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership
Identify and remove blockers to ensure smooth and consistent delivery
Track progress against milestones, managing risks, issues, and dependencies
Drive continuous improvement in Agile processes and team performance
Support effective stakeholder communication, including reporting and governance
Ensure delivery aligns with NHS standards, compliance, and governance frameworks
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Delivery Manager in Agile environments
Strong background working with the NHS or wider healthcare sector
Demonstrable experience delivering digital or transformation programmes
Excellent stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Experience managing risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines in complex environments
Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Desirable
Experience working with NHS Digital, ICSs, or central government bodies
Knowledge of GDS standards or public sector delivery frameworks
Relevant Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.)
