Apex is working with a leading specialist contractor delivering complex structural, civils, and infrastructure projects across the UK is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team working in Runcorn. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected business with a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging civils and concrete repair projects across multiple sectors.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of civils and structural repair projects, supporting profitability, contractual compliance, and financial performance from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you’ll gain exposure to a varied portfolio of specialist infrastructure and concrete repair schemes.

Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor

Manage the commercial delivery of civils and concrete repair projects
Assist with cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
Manage subcontract procurement and account administration
Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
Support the management of NEC and/or JCT contracts
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
Work closely with site and operational teams to ensure commercial success
Maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships
Support tendering and pricing activities where required
Skills & Experience of the Quantity Surveyor

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils, infrastructure, concrete repairs, or specialist construction sectors
Understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Experience managing subcontractor accounts and project costs
Background working on civils, structures, or concrete repair projects is highly
