A leading Tier 1 main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Design Manager to support the delivery of major healthcare infrastructure projects in the UK.
Working as part of a large-scale national healthcare framework, this position will play a key role in managing the design process from bid stage through to delivery and project completion on complex construction schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and coordinating the full design process through bid, pre-construction and delivery phases
Leading consultant teams and overseeing design programmes and deliverables
Ensuring compliance with client requirements, programme, cost and quality expectations
Coordinating design information in line with BIM and digital delivery standards
Managing design-related issues throughout construction through to handover
Ensuring designs comply with all relevant legislation, planning requirements and technical standards
Requirements
Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects (£50m–£200m+)
Strong healthcare project experience preferred
Experience across bid, PCSA and live delivery stages
Good understanding of JCT and NEC contracts
Experience using BIM, CDE platforms and digital coordination tools
Architectural or engineering qualification preferred
