The Role
We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our busy team of a manufacturing site to ensure the efficient management the Transport department to ensure our cardboard packaging are delivered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport planning, routing, load fill & optimisation
Driver debrief, supervising, holiday/absence cover, on road issues
Arranging couriers / third parties
Adherence to O Licence rules and compliance
Organising vehicle maintenance and repairs
Collaborating with other departments, e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Design, Planning and Production
Reports, Admin, Record keeping
Key Skills & Experience:
Planning – forward thinking
Organised with attention to detail
Good Geographical knowledge
Good Knowledge of HGV’s, driving hours and vehicle loads
Problem solving skills
Adaptable, able to embrace change at short notice
Good communication both verbal and written
IT competent – Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.
CPC in Transport Management (preferred but not essential)
