TPF Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded Accountancy Practice based in Canterbury, who are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Credit Controller to join their treasury team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous credit control or accounts experience who enjoys working in a professional and fast-paced environment.
The Role
Working within the treasury department, you will assist the Partners with a range of duties including:
Preparing monthly sales ledger statements
Managing overdue debtor accounts and maintaining regular contact to ensure prompt payment
Resolving account queries efficiently and liaising with partners where required
Chasing outstanding payments while maintaining strong professional relationships
Processing card payments and banking cheques when necessary
General accounts administration and maintaining accurate records and files
Posting transactions using QuickBooks and Xero
Assisting with additional ad hoc duties as required
RequirementsRequirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous experience within a Credit Control or Accounts role
AAT Level 2 qualification (preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
A professional and self-motivated attitude
High levels of discretion and confidentiality
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
At least 12 months’ experience in a similar position (preferred)
Experience using accounting software, particularly Xero, would be advantageous
