The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Toolmaker to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment supporting high-volume production.

You will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, and repair of press tooling, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime across production.

Key Responsibilities

· Manufacture, maintain, and repair press tools to a high standard

· Fault finding and problem-solving on tooling issues

· Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all tooling

· Support production teams with tool changeovers and improvements

· Work with engineering and production to drive continuous improvement

· Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards

Requirements

· Proven experience as a Press Toolmaker (progression, transfer, or blanking tools)

· Strong understanding of press tooling, dies, and associated machinery

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

· Skilled in manual machining (milling, turning, grinding)

· Experience with toolroom equipment and fitting techniques

· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Desirable

· Experience within high-volume manufacturing (automotive, aerospace, etc.)

· Knowledge of CNC machining

· Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification
