About the role

We are seeking an experienced Gas Responsible Person to join a defence contract at RAF Brize Norton. This is a standout opportunity for a seasoned commercial gas engineer ready to step into a leadership role - taking ownership of gas safety compliance, managing a team of engineers, and acting as the on-site technical authority for all gas-related matters.

Key responsibilities

Manage and coordinate a team of gas engineers
Act as primary point of contact for all gas-related matters
Carry out regular inspections and compliance audits
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Conduct risk assessments and develop action plans
Lead, mentor and develop junior engineers
Collaborate with departments and contractors on-site
What we're looking for

Proven commercial gas engineering experience
Strong knowledge of gas safety standards and regulations
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage a team and work under pressure
Sharp attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Eligible for SC security clearance

Desirable qualifications

Gas Safe registered
Previous experience in a defence or high-security environment
Relevant management or leadership qualifications
