Position Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm + Call-out Rota)

About the Company:

We are partnering with a leading operator of critical UK energy infrastructure, specialising in large-scale underground gas storage and processing facilities. Managing a high-compliance, top-tier asset, they play a vital role in national energy security. The company is highly regarded for its world-class safety standards, long-term asset stability, and an exceptional benefits package designed to reward and retain top technical talent.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to join the site maintenance team. Key Responsibilities:

Calibration & Maintenance: Carry out routine calibration, maintenance, and testing of site instrumentation, including flow, pressure, temperature, and level transmitters.

Electrical Support: Assist with low-voltage electrical maintenance, emergency systems, and minor installations as required (roughly 15% of the role).

Safety & Compliance: Maintain and test critical safety systems to ensure compliance with stringent top-tier industrial regulations and hazardous area (ATEX/DSEAR) standards.

Emergency Response: Participate in an on-call rota to provide rapid breakdown support, maintaining asset integrity and operational continuity.

What We're Looking For:

Technical Bias: Strong instrumentation background, ideally supported by an NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent apprenticeship in Control & Instrumentation.

Industry Experience: Proven track record working on live process assets-ideally Onshore Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemicals, Power Generation, or heavy processing utilities.

Hazardous Areas: Experience working in hazardous areas (CompEx certification is highly desirable).

Logistics: Due to the call-out requirements, you must live within a 1-hour travelling distance of the facility and hold a full UK driving licence.

What's on Offer (Package & Benefits):

Salary: Highly competitive base salary (dependent upon experience).

Premium Call-Out Structure: Highly lucrative standby and call-out terms:

Weekdays: Paid at 5 hours base rate standby, plus a minimum of 5 hours at 1.5x base rate per call-out.

Bonus: Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) with a potential of up to 15% of salary based on targets.

Pension: Premium 10% employer company contribution.

Time Off: 25 days annual leave.

Health & Wellbeing: Private Medical Insurance (PMI) and a £600/year Gym Allowance.

Protection: Group Income Protection and Group Life Assurance (8x base salary)
