Working Pattern: 5-day rotating shift pattern | Site-based | Choice of Shift: 5:00am to 2:00pm or 12:30pm to 8:30pm | Rotational weekends

This growing artisan bakery business, supplying premium hospitality, foodservice, and wholesale customers across the UK, is looking to appoint a Pastry Chef to support its pastry team.

Operating within a genuine artisan bakery environment, the business is focused on producing high-quality handmade pastry products to exceptionally high standards. Supplying premium hospitality and foodservice customers, the bakery combines traditional craftsmanship with continued investment in people, equipment, and capability.

This role has been created to support continued growth within the pastry function, ensuring premium pastry products are consistently produced to specification while maintaining the high standards expected by customers.

Reporting into the Pastry leadership team, you will play a key role in supporting pastry production, maintaining product quality, and ensuring artisan standards are consistently delivered across shift.

This is a highly hands-on role where you will be actively involved in pastry production, using strong lamination and pastry skills daily while supporting consistency, quality, and teamwork across the bakery.

What You’ll Be Doing

Produce high-quality artisan pastry products to company standards
Carry out lamination processes across croissants, pain au chocolat, and pastry lines
Ensure products are produced to the correct specification, finish, and presentation standards
Support daily pastry production requirements within a fast-paced bakery environment
Maintain strong food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards at all times
Support decorating and finishing activities depending on shift allocation
Maintain consistency across pastry production while protecting artisan quality standards
Work collaboratively with the pastry team to ensure smooth shift handovers and communication
Support a culture of craftsmanship, consistency, and pride in product quality
Contribute positively to a supportive and team-focused bakery environment

Experience working within a pastry, bakery, or artisan food production environment
Strong pastry skills with proven lamination experience, this is essential

Good attention to detail, particularly around product quality and consistency
A strong understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards
The ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment
Good communication skills and confidence working as part of a close-knit team
