SEMH Teaching Assistant
Local Education are currently recruiting for a committed and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs within a supportive school environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact on young people’s education and wellbeing.
Role Responsibilities:
* Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Help manage behaviour and encourage positive engagement in learning
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning support
* Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is desirable
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Patient, resilient and proactive approach
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
